Take Victoria’s 2024 Vital Signs citizen survey today!

Victoria, B.C. – In its nineteenth year, Victoria’s Vital Signs citizen survey provides a check-up on our region while looking to the future.

The Vital Signs citizen survey asks participants to weigh in on 12 Vital Signs issue areas related to quality of life in the region, including housing, safety, health and wellness, belonging and engagement, and more. Residents living in the capital region can fill out a short or long version of the survey.

The 2024 theme for the Vital Signs program focuses on actions we need to take today so that Greater Victoria is better for our grandkids and future generations. Can they be prosperous? Can they have a wonderful environment? Can they even afford to stay here? These themes will be integrated throughout the survey and the entire 2024 program, including the launch event scheduled for September 24, 2024.

Survey responses are gathered to produce a comprehensive Victoria’s Vital Signs report, which combines public opinion and statistics to provide a snapshot of livability and well-being in Greater Victoria.

“Victoria’s Vital Signs provides the community with information that sparks action to improve our region,” said Sandra Richardson, Victoria Foundation CEO. “There is a significant amount of complex and integrated challenges in our community, and we hope the theme for 2024 and information collected will help us identify solutions for our region to help our grandkids and future generations.”

The survey opens today and runs until Friday, May 31 at noon. After completing the survey, residents have a chance to win one of three Country Grocer gift cards worth $100 each. Residents can double their chances to win by filling out the long version. A link to the survey can be found on the Victoria Foundation website at victoriafoundation.bc.ca.

Victoria’s Vital Signs was launched in 2006. The presenting sponsor for our 2024 Vital Signs program is Coast Capital.
