$1,146,080 funded to 21 organizations on
Southern Vancouver Island

Now more than ever, charities and non-profits are playing a key role in addressing persistent and complex social problems faced by all Canadians. The Community Services Recovery Fund is a one-time investment of $400 million made by the Government of Canada to help community service organizations (charities, non-profits, Indigenous governing bodies) adapt and modernize.

The funds will help them be better equipped to improve the efficacy, accessibility and sustainability of the community services that they provide through the pandemic recovery and beyond. The Victoria Foundation supported applications to the ‘Investing in Systems and Processes’ project focus area on Southern Vancouver Island. The Canadian Red Cross supported the ‘Investing in Program and Service Innovation and Redesign’ funding stream and United Way Centraide supported the ‘Investing in People’ funding stream.
