Some initiatives get started and some don’t. When the plan itself is dusted off we realise that we have achieved some goals but not others. It’s rarely the fault of the planning process; it is usually the fault of the execution process – the means by which the recommendations in the plan are implemented by the CEO and his/her senior people.
