Make a Donation
The Victoria Foundation is a community foundation and a registered charity accredited by Imagine Canada. By connecting visionary donors with causes that truly matter, we’re able to invest in people, projects and non-profit organizations that make our communities stronger – now and for the long-term. We’ve been doing so since 1936.
Ways to Donate
As December approaches, donors may want to take advantage of a charitable tax receipt at the end of the calendar year or realize a capital gain on publicly listed securities and donate the shares to eliminate the tax on the gain. Please let us know about gifts of securities by December 6, 2019. It is easy to do with our Donation of Securities form.
Donations by credit card may be made online via our website until December 31 or phoned into the office at 250.381.5532 until noon on December 20. Donations by cheque must be post-marked by December 31, 2019.
Call 250-381-5532 to make a donation by credit card directly via the Victoria Foundation.
Send cheques to the Victoria Foundation at #200 – 703 Broughton Street, Victoria, BC, V8W 1E2. Please ensure they are made out to the Victoria Foundation. Note the designated fund in the memo line or in a cover letter.
With publicly listed securities
Please note: we have a new custodian as of May 1, 2018. All previous versions of our Donation Form for Gifts of Securities will now be invalid.
Once you have an updated Donation Form for Gifts of Securities, complete the form and send a copy to your broker and to the Victoria Foundation. We will look after the rest. Please note: this form is updated annually, so please download a fresh one for each gift of securities.
