Donate to a Community Action Fund
Donate online using your credit card. This will allow you to receive a tax receipt instantly.
As 2021 approaches, you may want to take advantage of a charitable tax receipt at the end of the 2020 calendar year or realize a capital gain on publicly listed securities and donate the shares to eliminate the tax on the gain. Please have your broker initiate the gift of securities by December 11.
Donations by credit card may be made online via our website until December 31 or phoned into the office at 250.381.5532 until noon on December 23. Donations by mail must be post-marked by December 31.
Call 250-381-5532 to make a donation by credit card directly via the Victoria Foundation.
Send cheques to the Victoria Foundation at #200 – 703 Broughton Street, Victoria, BC, V8W 1E2. Please ensure they are made out to the Victoria Foundation. Note the designated fund in the memo line or in a cover letter.
Please note: we have a new custodian as of May 1, 2018. All previous versions of our Donation Form for Gifts of Securities will now be invalid.
Once you have an updated Donation Form for Gifts of Securities, complete the form and send a copy to your broker and to the Victoria Foundation. We will look after the rest. Please note: this form is updated annually, so please download a fresh one for each gift of securities.
For information and advice about setting up your own fund or learning about existing funds that support the causes you care about, contact us by email or phone 250-381-5532.
