Well it’s that time of year: the time to make promises to ourselves that we may or may not keep. I propose we make a resolution we can all keep. Let’s resolve to make this year count.
How do you make a resolution stick? Make it about others.
Accountability always helps when you’re starting a new endeavour. Whether it’s jumping into a new exercise regime or saving money for a holiday, letting someone else in on what you’re doing often helps keep you on track.
This year, why not resolve to help others? Be accountable by donating some of your time or expertise to an organization that would love to have the help.
Resolve to do good things and you’ll see the good in your own life begin to flourish.
If you like this idea, share some of your resolutions in the comments below.
Wishing you and yours all the best in 2011!
