The Skookum Café is a project of Pacific Family Services Association that will house a program supporting vulnerable youth in our community. If offers youth the opportunity to raise their self-esteem and confidence, learn skills, acquire knowledge, build relationships and gain experience in an empowering and supportive setting by running a healthy café in the West Shore Family Centre. Three cohorts will be offered training and experience in a range of skills in areas such as Food Safe, retail business management, and barista and interpersonal skills. Participants will also receive personal support and assistance with navigating other social service systems as required.
