Message to Grantees during COVID-19
A MESSAGE TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Like the rest of the world, the Victoria Foundation is watching the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic unfold in real time. We are taking this situation very seriously, and wanted to reach out to our grantee partners, to share what we are doing and how we plan to continue to support you and our community.
We recognize that organizations are having to adjust and make changes, likely with reduced or compromised resources. In recognition of this, effective immediately, we have put in place several changes:
- Grant payments will continue, even if reports are delayed. If you can submit reports on time, you are encouraged to do so. If not, please let us know and we will work with you to extend deadlines as necessary.
- We will support you as you make necessary changes to grant-related programs that are delayed, cancelled or otherwise impacted by the pandemic. Please contact us if you feel your project will not happen as planned and we will work together to address these challenges.
- The Victoria Foundation is moving all meetings to phone or online until further notice. We are also discontinuing all site visits during this time.
- If you recently applied for a 2020 Community Grant, we will be reaching out to all applicants with updated information regarding our granting cycle.
It is important that we all look out for one another and do our best to support ourselves, our partners and our community. If there are things you need from us or additional ways we can support you, please let us know.
We will look to determine if there is additional support we can provide and communicate further as the situation warrants. For more information from the Victoria Foundation on this evolving situation, please monitor our website, www.victoriafoundation.ca, for further postings or news releases. For any other enquiries, please contact us via email (contact list here).
Thank you for all that you do, and we wish good health for you, your families, and our communities.
