Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness

While respondents to the Victoria's Vital Signs® survey gave Housing a slightly higher grade in 2013 than in previous years, it still received the lowest grade of all 12 indicators in the report. In fact, Cost of Living topped the list of the most important issues facing Greater Victoria, with Housing and Homelessness ranking third and fourth on the list.

The Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness marked Homelessness Action Week (October 14-18) by organizing a Community Wide Open House, and introducing a speakers bureau featuring three individuals who, at one time, were homeless.

The Coalition's goal is to end homelessness in our region by 2018; it is working toward this goal by increasing available supportive and affordable housing.
