Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre

Since 1991 the Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) has provided programs and services that that serve, involve and advocate for the military community and their families, and which address the unique challenges of the military family lifestyle and will result in an enhanced quality of life.

The Victoria Foundation provided funding to help extend daycare hours at the MFRC – allowing parents to attend informal programming and meet each other and connect. This extended support allows for better community-building in an environment where ships are often coming and going, and there’s a 10% turnover on the base each year.
