The Prostate Centre

One in 7 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. When it's caught early, there is a 90% survival rate. The Victoria Foundation was pleased to offer funding to the Prostate Centre for an innovative program that supports men in taking control of their cancer treatment. A new software program, currently under development, allows patients to monitor their disease and track important events such as medical records, interactions with physicians and testing. These records will be accessible by clients of the Prostate Centre, through the software they can use at home. The Centre is working on completing the software to get it ready for a market launch, targeted for 2014.
