Impact Spotlight

Surrounded by Cedar Child and Family Services is just one of the many organizations to benefit from generous gifts to the Racial Equity Fund! This funding has helped the non-profit deliver child and family services strongly rooted in Indigenous cultural values and world views. It ensures urban Indigenous children and youth grow up connected to family, community, and culture.

“It makes me a little teary to think how much the general operating funding [through] Victoria Foundation helped,” said Executive Director Jennifer Chuckry. “We were able to purchase laptops and audio-conferencing licenses. I’m not sure how we would have been able to meet our technology needs without this assistance, which definitely have had a direct impact on our families,” she added.
