We’ve been doing so since 1936.
Supporting our Operating Endowment Fund
Since 1964 the Victoria Conservatory of Music has nurtured generations of students, enhancing lives through the power of music. From the beginning, the Conservatory has been supported by loyal donors who believe in our mission and the importance of music to health lives and communities. Today this tradition of philanthropy continues, and as we look to the future it is critical that we build an endowment to ensure that the Conservatory continues to serve Vancouver Island.
Our Operating Endowment Fund was established to provide long-term sustainability for the operations of our organization through a steady stream of annual income. A gift to the Operating Endowment Fund supports the Conservatory’s timeless mission to inspire, nurture, and enrich our community through excellence in music education, performance, and wellness. The fund is carefully managed by our partners at the Victoria Foundation, with annual disbursements going towards our operating budget.
Donations to the Victoria Conservatory of Music Endowment Operating Fund can be made today as a living legacy or specified in your will for a future gift. All donations to this permanently endowed fund are eligible to be matched by granting agencies such as the Cultural Investment Fund through the Department of Canadian Heritage, so your gift will have a much greater impact and reach, supporting our cherished heritage building, and the educational and community programs that make the Victoria Conservatory a renowned centre of excellence.

Send cheques to the Victoria Foundation at #200 – 703 Broughton Street, Victoria, BC, V8W 1E2. Please ensure they are made out to the Victoria Foundation. Note the designated fund in the memo line or in a cover letter.

Publicly Listed Securities
Once you have an updated Donation Form for Gifts of Securities, complete the form and send a copy to your broker and to the Victoria Foundation. We will look after the rest. Please note: this form is updated annually, so please download a fresh one for each gift of securities.
