LookUpBC

Have you looked up lately?

Look Up BC is a campaign that promotes the mindful use of hand-held devices by encouraging people of all ages to look up and reconnect with their local community, their surroundings and the environment. The first Look Up BC Campaign (#LookUpBC) will launch on February 15, 2014. Look Up BC is a partnership between a group of Leadership Victoria participants and the Saanich Youth Team COYOTE.

We are inviting you to participate by sharing photos of what you see when you look up using the hashtag #LookUpBC on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. Share your view of the world through your handheld device and you’ll be entered to win great prizes throughout the campaign.

During the lead-up to our official photo contest we are encouraging people to post photos on our social media channels to win fun prizes. During the month of April, the official Look Up BC photo contest will be promoted on CHEK NEWS ~ watch to see where you can post your potentially winning photo! One winner will be selected as a finalist each week from April 1—30, 2014 and will be entered into the draw for our grand prize. Visit our online voting website to vote for your favourite photos between May 1 and 7, 2014. Grand prizes will be presented at our wrap-up event on May 9, 2014.
